We are a group of talented Makers and Creators from the Gold Coast and Hinterland Artisan community with a vision. We are dynamic small business creatives with a passion for the arts and crafts, both traditional and emerging. We are locals who want to share the benefits art and craft across cultures and mediums with other locals and visitors to our community. Cyclone Alfred played havoc with our first event but we will be back in Autumn 2026.
Through a variety of activities across a dedicated weekend in April we aim to broaden perspectives about arts and crafts and celebrate creativity in all of its expressions. If the activities you interact with inspire a feeling in you, we have succeeded in our quest.
Festivals are cultural and social events that bring people together! And this is what we aim to do for one weekend in April. Workshops offer unique opportunity to learn a self-satisfying new skill by making something special. The artisan's market presents a broad range of makers and creators offering authentic handmade gifts or self-indulgence ideas. Demonstrations by artisans show what is involved in making something by hand while exhibitions speak to our senses through a finished product. Through it all people come together sharing the many benefits arts and crafts have for individuals and for communities.
The Gold Coast and Hinterland region is a big place with an immense creative diveristy. Activities occur all over the landscape between the golden beaches in the east and national parks to the west, from the Logan River in the north and the Tweed Valley in the south.
